Position Summary: The position of School Psychologist supports the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic well-being of students. They assess and address learning and behavioral issues, collaborate with educators, and help to design interventions for a positive school environment. Conducting assessments and advocating for students' mental health are key aspects of this role. Effective communication and a deep understanding of psychological principles are essential.

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- You will perform all of the duties of a school psychologist utilizing a hybrid, remote, or in-person service model.
- Administering and interpreting tests to evaluate intellectual, academic, behavioral, adaptive, and/or social/emotional behaviors.
- Observing referred students in school and conducting referral, follow-up activities, parent conferences and more.
- Participating in educational planning, eligibility, and/or determination of placement meetings.
- Participating in the development of Individual Education Programs, as needed or requested .
- Conducting functional behavioral assessments, and participating in manifestation determination meetings and behavioral intervention development, as needed or requested .
- Communicating and conferring with district/local education agency/agency personnel, parents, and students.
- Conferring and consulting with staff and the student to determine the student's current level of performance or developmental history.
- Maintaining records, writing letters, answering correspondence, and writing reports.
- Participating in staff development activities and/or other meetings.
- Reviewing, evaluating, and recommending assessment instruments.
- Traveling to schools or other educational-based sites.
- Maintaining and submitting records to Supervisor on Program operations as requested .
- Performing other related duties delegated by the coordinator/supervisor
- Adhering to policies of the district and procedures of the department and/or section.
Experience/Requirements:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information.
- Knowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
- Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
- Responsive to requests.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.
Education/License/Certification:
- Masters Degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Current Active State License to practice School Psychology in the state you are looking to work within.
Physical/Sensory Essential Functions:
- Ability to meet vaccination requirements of partnered school districts
- Requires prolonged standing and walking, some bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching and/or heavy lifting.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity, sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone and other equipment.
