Job Duties

Western State Hospital is seeking a part time On Duty Physician's Assistant.

This position is responsible for performing the required admission assessment of patients brought to the hospital and responding to acute medical/psychiatric needs of all inpatients for the duration of the on-call period.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of approved physician's assistant training
  • Virginia Physician Assistant license
- current certification
- active DEA
- current BLS certification
- relevant extensive experience in the performance of histories and physical examinations and the diagnosis and treatment of acute medical and psychiatric disorders.
