Overview

Supervise property and equipment maintenance, monitor safety systems, and manage the engineering department in compliance with standards and regulations to safeguard assets and ensure guest and associate safety.

Responsibilities

  • Thorough understanding of building systems such as Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety, IT, etc.
  • Knowledge of building equipment including HVACandR, Kitchen, Laundry, Pool, etc.
  • Adherence to company maintenance procedures for guestrooms, equipment, public spaces, and grounds.
  • Maintenance of engineering check book accounting, supervision of staff, and record-keeping for budgets and inspections.
  • Regular tours to identify maintenance needs and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Providing training on Life Safety procedures and addressing related issues.
  • Familiarity with Brands' problem tracking procedures and basic accounting practices.
  • Understanding of PC operations, Microsoft Office software, and technological advancements in the field.
  • Remaining composed in high-pressure situations and demonstrating effective leadership.

Qualifications

  • Relevant vocational training or experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, etc.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar setting.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, maintenance, budgeting, and long-term planning.
  • Skills in HVAC, electrical work, carpentry, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
ADA related Physical Demand Section:

Excellent physical condition to handle various tasks in different environments with or without accommodation. Strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to prioritize and delegate efficiently.
