The role of Manufacturing Engineer II involves applying engineering principles to drive process improvements in the manufacturing of medical devices, focusing on quality, delivery, cost, safety, and morale enhancement. We are seeking a candidate with a positive attitude, exceptional attention-to-detail, and a desire for professional growth under high internal expectations.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adherence to Viant Core Values, safety, and quality requirements.
- Development and execution of Process and Test Method Validations.
- Preparation and review of documentation with accuracy and completeness.
- Implementation of lean processes in a cellular environment.
- Clear communication within Viant, with suppliers, partners, and customers.
- Ownership and management of CAPAs.
- Creation and implementation of standard work and process instructions.
- Use of structured problem-solving techniques and statistical methods.
- Development of tooling, fixtures, and equipment for manufacturing optimization.
- Detailed project planning and execution within cross-functional teams.
- Application of DMAIC-Six Sigma approaches for issue resolution and variation reduction.
- Investigation and implementation of new process technologies.
- Collaboration with development, programmers, machinists, and suppliers.
- Mentoring peers and responsiveness to achieve positive results.
- Validation protocol execution and material evaluations.
- Equipment issue troubleshooting support.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Requirements include close, distance, and color vision.
- Medical device experience preferred.
- Statistical knowledge and understanding of metals machining and polishing preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Solid Works, Minitab, and PLC programming.

Job Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a regulated industry.
- Experience in Lean manufacturing and new product development.

Physical Requirements:
Light work involving exertion of force and object movement.
