Laborer - Custodian

Qualifications

Education:
Basic literacy skills, including reading and writing

Experience:
Six (6) months experience in housekeeping preferred

Responsibilities

Cleaning tasks which can include:
* scrubbing
* disinfecting
* vacuuming
* sweeping
* mopping
* dusting (furniture and chalk boards)
* stripping, buffing, waxing, and sealing floors
* shampooing carpets
* window washing

  • Receives and carries out work orders completing any associated paperwork.
  • Helps supervisor train new employees in housekeeping procedures.
  • Maintains outside grounds including sweeping and snow shoveling/blowing sidewalks and driveways.
  • Moves and straightens up furniture for cleaning and set-up for events.
  • Restocks soap, toilet paper, paper towels and any other regularly used bathroom supplies.
  • Empties trash receptacles and replace bags.
  • Maintains cleaning equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Fulfills special cleaning requests.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
