Netchannels is looking to hire a full time Event Manager for our client: Five9. This is a 7-month contract with the possibility to convert to a Five9 FTE at the end of the contract. Onsite presence required some time and during the events. (location: San Ramon, CA)

Description:

The Global Event Manager will be responsible for driving internal events for Five9. These are Regional employee events (globally). It also involves the execution of Head Quarter events once a month. Five9 is a leading provider of cloud contact center software. High Tech knowledge and experience required.

Job Overview

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage requests from the field for regional events
  • Work with Finance to ensure approval of budget
  • Implement events for the regions ensuring smooth and flawless execution within set timeline and budget
  • Manage all aspects of execution including: venue, F&B, vendors, registration, attendance, onsite presence.
  • Send evaluations
  • Report on outcome and satisfaction from the attendees
  • Communicate results to stakeholders
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience with a proven track record in managing teams, consultants, and large-scale events.
  • Extensive vendor management experience and capability in partnering with business cohorts for successful event execution.
  • Experience in executing large-scale events with 400+ attendees at external venues and onsite locations within a corporate environment.
  • Strong commitment to enhancing employee engagement and fostering a vibrant organizational culture.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and contract negotiation skills with executive presence.
  • Operational project management skills, with keen attention to detail, time and resource management.
  • Ability to work flexibly outside standard business hours when necessary.
  • Strong customer orientation with a demonstrated proactive approach in evolving events based on feedback.
  • Excellent decision making ability under pressure, with a sense of humor and ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic organization.
  • A strong understanding of the business and ability to articulate your impact to key stakeholders and eStaff.
  • Well-developed soft skills, such as leadership and active listening.
  • Ability to take on special projects/one off's and knock it out of the park by developing a new program or industry gain.
  • Ability to voice opinion in meetings
  • Establish a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • Demonstrates a significant positive impact on the organization's performance, culture, or reputation.
