Summary of the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will be providing nursing care to a designated group of patients that match your competencies. You will work independently to meet the patients' needs and complete required competencies during the probationary period. Additionally, you will be assigned other duties as needed.
Qualifications to Consider
- MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited nursing school.
- PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Not required
- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two years in acute care with clinical experience in areas such as med/surg, telemetry, or ICU
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Active Texas State License for Registered Nurse
- PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
- REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):
- Healthcare provider Basic Life Support at hiring; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS to be obtained within 60 days of employment
- ACLS and PALS certifications to be completed within 60 days of employment for certain roles
- NRP certification required within 60 days for NICU; S.T.A.B.L.E. for NICU - Level 2 Nursery if not previously obtained
