The Marketing Consultant is a temporary position responsible for supporting Dole Packaged Foods' Marketing team in completing assigned projects and tasks.


This role provides flexibility to work between 15-40 hours per week in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office.


Responsibilities:
Primary Accountabilities

Provide strategic direction and guidance for the beverage business.

Direct new product and pipeline development efforts.


Ensure teams deliver breakthrough and holistic FY24 marketing tactical plans to drive trial and awareness of new and base products.


Recommend priorities and strategic direction for consideration by Dole Packaed Foods (in its sole discretion) for all marketing activities including advertising, promotions, packaging, sales and trade marketing.


Assist Dole Packaged Foods with:
Any creative development, brand messaging and positioning to ensure consistency across all touchpoints;

Identifying consumer, retail, competitive and business implications and making recommendations for action plans and programs based on key learnings for both immediate (FY24) and longer term (3-yr pipeline);

Determining key KPIs and cadence in monitoring/tracking campaigns for ongoing measurement, effectiveness and proactive adjustment;

Creating market launch plans to guarantee success in the marketplace;

Advising on such other projects and initiatives as reasonably requested by Dole Packaged Foods;

Developing an in-store merchandising program and execution plan in collaboration with other DPF categories.
Consultant will provide their recommended Plan for consideration by Dole Packaged Foods (in its sole discretion).

Provide coaching with respect to ABM and assisting with preparing development plan.


Assist RGM and Sales Strategy teams to analyze the right time to report out and help the business understand the impact of the campaign efforts and why it works.


Make recommendations and provide marketing advice for consideration by Dole Packaged Foods (in its sole discretion) for new product efforts and pipeline development, including product strategy, channel strategy, generating and testing new product concepts, and the commercialization process.

For recently launched new products, provide post launch analysis when relevant.

All other tasks, as assigned.

Qualifications:
Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring

3+ years Brand Management experience, preferably in a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company.

Management of all aspects of P&L to achieve annual plan targets.

Experience leading innovation through a stage-gate process.


Track record of success in leading cross-functional teams of internal and agency counterparts (Consumer Insights, Sales & Trade, Consumer Promotions/Digital Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance) to set and achieve goals.

Proficient with MS Office suite and Circana/Nielsen syndicated data.


Strong organization and project management skills, including the ability to effectively work in cross functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education & Certification

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

MBA strongly preferred

Physical Requirements


Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

Travel Requirements

This is a US-based role with limited travel.

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:

Hiring Pay Scale:
$120,000 to $130,000

The pay rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, accomplishments, and location.
