We operate communitiesin the western US and are seeking the right Life Enhancement Specialist tojoin our team.

This positionis fulltime or parttime and includes leading both small and large groupactivities, events, and opportunities for our residents to learn new things.

In this role you will be working directlywith the Life Enhancement Coordinator to build and implement a program for ourresidents that includes the pursuit of creative interests like the Arts andmusic, provides opportunities for socialization, promotes a wellness programthat includes physical exercise and mindfulness, provides outlets for spiritualfulfillment, creates environments for residents to focus on continuouslearning, cognition stimulation and family/friends engagement.

Executing this mission drivenrole helps our residents maintain that sense of purpose, feel valued andnecessary in the world. The successful candidate will be motivated by service, an organized anddetail-oriented individual with a positive and self-motivated attitude. Youmust have strong communication and computer skills. Excellent time managementskills are important along with relationship building, persistence, flexibility,and adaptability. You must want tohave fun and spend time with others to be successful in this role.

SKILLS NEEDED:
Confidence to engage with seniors, inlarge and small groupsCreativity to provide fun for ourresidentsAbility to create an appealing atmospherefor our seniors at varying cognitive and physical ability levelsCommunication skills that usepersuasion to help encourage our residents to attend various gatherings, socialopportunities, and groupsComfortability to interact with socialmedia and promote our program to families and others that engage with oursocial media platformsProficient in MS Office suiteTeam player with ability to developstrong working relationships along with customer service focusAbility to adapt/respond quickly tothe needs and preferences of our residentsAn understanding or the willingness togain an understanding of the various forms of dementia and how to helpresidents with dementia still live with purpose

RELATABLE EXPERIENCE:
Experience in coordinating group activities, event planning and/or structured opportunities that encourage people to come together Past experiences where you have encouraged the participation of others or facilitate groups Past roles in which you have been amulti-tasker, attending to the needs of others while monitoring the overallenvironmentJobs you've had that include workingwith seniors or other vulnerable populationsPrior volunteer work or other workwhere you were responsible to bring the fun and organize peopleExperiences that have given you a familiaritywith the senior population and how aging can affect a personExperience in Assisted Living/Healthcare therapeutic recreation orother customer service roles

QUALIFICATIONS:


1- At least 18 years of age 2- At least 1 year in customer service,event planning, or leading groups 3- Current negative TB test 4- Willingness to learn how to work in ahealthcare/assisted living environment 5- Ability to pass criminalrecord/background check 6- Valid driver's license with aqualifying driver abstract 7- Good time management skills 8- Must be able to work wellindependently with little oversight As an organization we offer our team members agood benefits package, the ability to be heard, have their opinions count and theopportunity to innovate.

Ourcompensation package will be flexible for this role based on the credentialing,tenure and skill sets each candidate brings for consideration.

The starting hourly wage range for thisposition is $16.50 to $20.00 per hour. Prior experience in seniors housing programmingis preferred. A passion for your workand a commitment to serving others are essential job qualifications.
