JOB SUMMARY

 Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations. Functions as an RN first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum in accordance with scope of practice credentials, privileges, experience, education, and competency verification.

 


Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in nursing- required
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing -required
Currentand active registered nurse licensure in state of TN
RN First Assistant certification (RNFA)

Certifications:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of being in position.
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of being in position.
AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of being in position.
