School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - 2024-2025 Academic Year

Location: Powell, KY
Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students for the 2024-2025 academic year in Powell, KY. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing therapy for students with speech, language, and communication challenges. You will collaborate with educators and families to ensure students receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Kentucky SLP license or eligibility for licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (CFs welcome to apply)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in schools is an advantage but not required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed assessments of students' speech and language abilities
  • Design and implement individualized therapy plans and IEPs tailored to each student's needs
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in group settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of therapy sessions and student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings to assist with goal-setting and progress evaluation
  • Keep current with the latest speech therapy techniques and best practices
