New Story Schools is seeking a qualified Special Education Tutor/Behavior Technician to teach and mentor students as part of the Outreach Program. Special Education Tutors/Behavior Technicians work 1:1 in home and community settings with students on the Autism Spectrum focusing on addressing IEP goals. Programming may address academic, behavioral, and vocational goals.

- Run data-driven practice as assigned
- Implement Precision Teaching and/or discrete-trial training
- Record accurate data
- Use data to make decisions
- Use explicit instruction as assigned
- Apply Mathetics to daily instruction
- Implement direct instruction programs and techniques
- Perform habit training duties
- Manage students as assigned
- Implement principles of behavioral science to effectively manage student behavior
- Adhere to the behavior management tier assigned to each student
- Supervise and execute school activities inside and outside the learning environment
- Arrange and maintain a safe and effective learning environment
- Implement data-based decision making as assigned
- Use formal academic and behavior data to assist with interventions
- Submit all data and records by established deadlines
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A genuine passion for working with children, along with patience and compassion
- Experience working with children with special needs or autism through volunteer work, employment, or other relevant experiences
