V2X is seeking a Software Test Case Developer to support the Directed Energy Weapon Systems Division (E10) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) that is responsible for working on developmental activities, testing, management, and implementation of Directed Energy (DE) weapon systems including pulsed power, High Power Microwave (HPM), High Energy Laser (HEL), and other related systems; and operations, deployment and sustainment of these DE systems and capabilities for the Military Services in support of current and future military operations.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

This Software Test Case Developer role supports the following DETO activities:

System Prototype, and Field Test and Evaluation Support (Development, Build and Assembly, Integration, Maintenance / Repair / Operation).
Directed Energy Spectrum Supportability - Conducting Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) interoperability evaluations to determine which incumbent systems are impacted by the DE systems.

Major duties include:

Generation of test cases, test reports, templates and metrics.
Authoring of Software Development Plan documentation.

Material & Equipment Directly Used:

Laptop computer and standard office equipment.

Working Environment:

On site in an office / lab environment at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD; Dahlgren, VA).

Physical Activities:

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.

Clearance Requirement:

U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret level Security Clearance is required.

Required Experience:

Demonstrated experience analyzing requirements and developing test cases.
Experience generating Test Reports.
Experience generating Metric Report templates for Tech and Project Leads.
Experience refining test cases and implementing improvements.
Experience working independently to add new test cases derived from customer feedback.
Experience generating Software Development Plans.
(3) years of experience developing user-interfaces, controls, and other software tools related to DE - Directed Energy (DE) systems and integrating spectrum awareness systems.
Demonstrated experience with Web Development using HTML/JavaScript and Windows Service Development using C#.
Demonstrated experience with U.S. Navy / Joint DE systems including pulsed power, RF, Laser, and Counter Improvised Explosive Device (CIED) systems and other Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare (EMMW) related projects.
