Leominster, MA: Middle School Special Education Teacher

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

Calling on certified Special Education Teachers who want to support Middle School students in their Language arts and Math curricula Soliant is seeking a long-term substitute in Leominster, MA.

The applicant will be providing pull-out or teach in an inclusion classroom. Students most need support in ELA and math.

Requirements:

  • Special Education teacher certificate from the Massachusetts Department of Education
  • 1+ years of experience with inclusion classrooms or pull-outinstruction for middle schoolstudents preferred

Pay and benefits:

  • Hourly, W2 pay of $43to $50per hour
  • Health, vision and dental insurance
  • Employer matched 401(k)

Description of duties:

  • Collaborate withstaffand families to determine if students need an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
  • Develop social and academic programs according to IEPs.
  • Plan lessons in accordance with IEP goals
  • Monitor student progress with a blend of informal observations and scored assessments
  • Present positive role model for students
  • Refer to community resources aid students in dealing with emotional/physical needs
  • Manage student behavior and administer discipline according to IEP.
  • Plan and supervise activities for teacher aide(s) and/or volunteer(s)
  • Ensure that instructional program is compliant withcampus, district, state, and federal policies and regulations.
  • Maintain timely and accurate reports, records, and documents.
