ObGyn physician job in Kentucky : Locums Morehead, Kentucky, OB/GYN Job (Willing to License)

    • Contract Length: 1 year
    • Shift Details: M-F 8-5
    • Schedule: 2-3 weeks of M-F coverage, M-F 24-hour call, and 24-hour weekend call. M-F Clinic half days (12:30-4:30) M-F 24-hour call; Weekend 24-hour call
    • Support staff: APPs, midwives, MAs, front desk/admin assistants
    • Amount of coverage needed per month: minimum 1 week of coverage/mo., ideally looking for 2-4 weeks/mo. of clinic and call coverage. Facility is flexible on availability. Ideally looking for a 6mo -1-year commitment
    • Patients per day:20 patients/day
    • Patient population/age: older adolescents, adults, low income, 60% Medicaid
    • OBGYN clinic that works on the following:
      • Adolescent gynecology, Cervical cancer screenings, Contraception, including oral and implantable options, Genetic testing and counseling, Gynecologic surgeries, including hysterectomies, Health maintenance, Hormone replacement therapy, In-office ultrasound imaging, Low- and high-risk obstetrics care, Wellness exams
    • EMR: Epic
    • Special procedures: Full scope OBGYN procedures, consults, deliveries, laparoscopies, hysterectomies, C-sections, biopsies, general surgeries
    • Must have at least 1-year OBGYN experience, 3-4 years of experience (highly preferred) with typical OBGYN procedures (listed above), experience working with low-income individuals highly preferred
    • Practice Setting: Clinic/Private Practice
    • Board Certified/Board Eligible
    • No State license required, must be willing to apply for KY license
    • DEA: Yes
    • BLS, ACLS
    • Must be comfortable with L&D
    • Call Volume:
      • Average work during a 24-hour call shift 1 delivery, 1 ED consult, 3-6 triages
    • Birth Volume:
      • 300 births/year
    • Credentialing Timeframe: 3 mo.
