The Opportunity:

As a Foundry Full Stack Developer and Architect, you will play a critical role in supporting the deployment, installation, configuration, and maintenance of a next-generation Army data platforms. Your responsibilities will include building dashboards and analytical products within Foundry apps, specifically Contour, Workshop, and Slate. You'll be building efficient PySpark code for transformations with snapshots and changelogs while understanding and managing data health and resource usage, such as batch, disk, compute, and memory usage. It’s important that you can leverage ontologies to represent relationships, business processes, and data. You'll need analytical abilities to create data health checks, apply PII/PHI markings, recommend optimization or troubleshooting code fixes, and evaluate data lineage and provenance, as well as evaluating organizational needs and permissions.

You'll collaborate with military personnel and stakeholders to seamlessly integrate and operate the system. You'll train end-users on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures for both hardware and software components. You'll respond to technical inquiries efficiently and document all activities. You'll participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and modifications. You'll stay informed about developments and best practices related to Army data platforms and doctrine. You'll provide feedback for system improvements based on field experience and user feedback. You'll adhere to safety protocols and security procedures.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in database systems and data engineering pipelines

  • 4+ years of experience with Palantir Foundry as a Full Stack Developer orchestrating data architecture solutions following business intent

  • Experience as a coder with Python, PySpark, Java, SQL, or typescript

  • Experience with Palantir Foundry and AIP, including the Army Vantage Data Analytics Platform

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office 365 Suite

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with relational databases for data storage, SQL queries, and primary or foreign keys

  • Experience with the differences between ETL and ELT in database connections

  • Knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications

  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and operational needs

  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
