Scrum Master

The Opportunity:

As a Scrum Master, you’re passionate about outcomes and supporting a development team that’s modernizing critical projects. You know the importance of Agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to get work done. We need an experienced scrum master like you to create solutions that’ll protect our military.

On our team, you’ll coach a development team to their highest performance level, while ensuring the scrum project is successfully progressed. You’ll ensure scrum principles and approaches are understood correctly by the team and key stakeholders. Using tools like JIRA and Confluence, you’ll strengthen sustainable process improvements to help your team accomplish sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.

In this role, you’ll directly impact government clients by helping design and implement next-generation software solutions. This is an opportunity to grow your experience in scrum software development while successfully delivering project solutions that will improve national security.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, including delivering projects and tasks to customers

  • 3+ years of experience leading Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives

  • 1+ years of experience with creating workflows and issue types in Jira

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools

  • Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence

  • Ability to synthesize requirements underlying feature requests, decompose them into user stories, and group them into logically consistent epics

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
