Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists based in the area of San Lorenzo, CA, and who have expertise in AAC (Alternative Augmentative Communication) technology Soliant is working with a local school district, and is seeking a 3-day contract provider to support communications needs.

Applicants will be working with K-12 students, and support students who already use an AAC aid, or who are referred for one. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assessing students and making recommendations for AAC devices that would support their communication needs, and be customizable as they gain expertise with their devices
  • Completing necessary paperwork to procure AAC devices
  • Assisting students, support staff, and families with setting up and learning to use their devices
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on any concerns relating to the use of AAC devices

We seek candidates with the following skills and attributes:

  • Excellent communication
  • Solid organization
  • Current knowledge of new developments in the AAC field, and how to support learning and communication needs in the classroom
  • Professionalism and accountability

Requirements:

  • California SLP license, issued by the California Board of Speech and Hearing
