As an A&P Mechanic for TestCell you will be responsible for performing routinemaintenance, and major inspections on turbofan and turboproppowered aircraft. Trouble-shooting, repair, and modification ofaircraft components is accomplished by this position. In addition,engine removal and reinstallation, operational checks, leak checks,and engine runs are all within the responsibility of the Mechanic,A&P.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepping engines for test, testing and de-preppingengines
  • Trains to become a certified test celloperator. Responsibilities include performing certification testingIAW O/H manual. Troubleshooting testing failures, replacing failedcomponents, and completion of test documentation
  • Working as a motivated member of a specialized team tooperate the test cell and the engine under test in accordance withthe test instructions or tech orders.
  • Consultsmanufacturer's manuals to determine tests and maintenanceprocedures for instruments used for measuring and controlling flow,level, pressure, temperature and other variables.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and cross train onmultiple engine lines and other complementary skills and seeksendorsements for those skills as needed to support productionrequirements
  • Participates in the crosstraining of other technicians as needed to support productionrequirements.
  • Responsible for observing allapplicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafepractices/conditions.
  • Working within quality,environmental and health and safety management systems to deliver ahigh quality product in a safe and environmentally responsiblemanner.
  • Complete daily maintenance inspectionsof equipment and facility to ensure operational readiness prior touse
  • Working with specialized mechanical,electrical and instrumentation systems to test gas turbineengines.
  • Troubleshoots, adjusts or replacecomponents on engines and accessories during testing process.Liaisons with engineers, mechanics and inspectors on testperformance.
  • Performing and supportingtroubleshooting, preventative and corrective maintenance ofmechanical and electrical systems.
  • Participates in continuous improvement of cellprocesses.
  • Moves between productionassignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed tosupport production requirements.
  • Carries outother duties asassigned


Requirements:

  • High School diploma (OR GED) and a valid FAA approvedAirframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.


EligibilityRequirements:

  • Self-Motivated Team members must have a positive attitudetoward a changing work environment and are committed to achievingthe success and goals of their team.
  • Experience with Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of GasTurbine Engines. Honeywell engine experience preferred.
  • Good planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal,decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of production software systems andother related internal control systems.
  • Familiarity with gas turbine engines.
  • Knowledgeable in the functional operation of the enginestested.
  • Attainment of a Special Process stampfor Test Technician designation.
  • Ability tolift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of theaverage work day.
  • Regularly required to sitand stand for prolonged periods.
  • Workingknowledge of related company instructions and companyprocesses.
  • Product knowledge relative to thebusiness unit.
  • Experience in a mechanicalenvironment.
  • Ability to work day shift orsecond shift as required.
  • Must be authorizedto work in theUS.
