Calling on Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) with a passion for working with children, and who would like to work in a school setting

Soliant has partnered with a school in the area of Coon Rapids, MN, and is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for this school year.

Requirements to be a Speech Pathology Assistant in a school setting:

  • Associate's Degree from a Speech Pathology Assistant Program OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications Disorders and SLPA coursework
  • Completion of 100 hours of supervised clinical experience

In addition to the credential requirements, we seek applicants with the following competencies:

  • Flexibility and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a collegial work environment
  • Good organization skills
  • Coachability: be able to listen to feedback, respond to work instructions, and meet the needs of staff and students

Scope of duties:

  • Under supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist, provide direct therapy to students
  • Document student progress and provide administrative support to Speech Pathologists
  • SLPAs may also be called upon to provide classroom support, or to facilitate the provision of online speech services
