Position Summary:The UNC Asheville department of Atmospheric Sciences invites applications for teaching as an adjunct instructor. To apply, please submit a cover letter and curriculum vitae. The cover letter should discuss relevant teaching and/or professional experience, the fields or courses in which the applicant has interest in teaching, and expertise and credentials which would qualify the applicant to teach in Atmospheric Sciences. Other materials may be requested to finalize employment.

Qualifications:Doctorate or master’s degree (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline) in Atmospheric Sciences or closely related field with prior teaching experience. Exceptions may be granted for candidates with exceptional professional and/or teaching experience.

Special Instructions Summary:This posting may not signify a temporary opening at this time. This is an on-going, as-needed, pool of temporary candidates. As departmental temporary needs are identified, this pool will be reviewed periodically to obtain potential candidates. If selected, candidates will be contacted directly by the hiring officials to arrange an interview. All positions are temporary and will vary in length of time.
