RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologistsutilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within amagnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions ofthe body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MRtechnologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations inaccordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidanceof the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patientcare to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, andgeriatrics. Adheres to all safety requirements for magnetic safety.Demonstrates ability to perform advance MR imaging procedures andis competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy andphysiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meetidentified patient needs.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved RadiologicTechnology program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
Two (2) years of experience as aRadiology Technologist and 2-3 years experience as an MRITechnologist required.
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:
Registered by the American Registry ofRadiologic Technology in Radiography (R) (MR).
Advancedcertification by the ARRT in MRI(MR).
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified.
