Dialysis Registered Nurse/Full-Time

POSITIONSUMMARY: A Registered Professional Nurse isresponsible for the delivery of patient care through the process ofassessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Inaddition, the Registered Professional Nurse prescribes, delegates,coordinates, supervises and evaluates patient teaching and theactivities of the ancillary nursing personnel while maintaining thestandards of professional nursing. The Registered Nurse is able toprovide direct and indirect care topatients.
Requirements
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
EDUCATION: Graduate of aState Board School of Nursing or equivalent.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:Current New Mexico RN license or current Compactstate license. BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hiredate. Nephrology nursing certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: 2years dialysis nursing experience or Certification in NephrologyNursing is required.

-Responsible to: ClinicalNurse Manager Dialysis.

Works in a clean, welllighted, ventilated smoke-free environment. Subject tostressful professional relationships. Working hours arevaried, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule andemergencies.
PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS: Must be able to handleemergency/crisis situations, prolonged, extensive or considerablestanding and walking. Requires heavy physical effort toposition, push and/or transfer patients or equipment and supplies.Requires considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling andcrouching. Ability to judge distance and space relationships,see peripherally, distinguish and identify different colors. Hearing and visual acuity within normal or correctablelimits. Manual dexterity and fine motor coordinationrequired.
