Description:
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Possesses knowledge and ability to providecontinuous ECG monitoring through assessment of EKG strips andaccurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmiasinterpretation including: measurement of P-R intervals, QRS widths,and ST segment deviations. Possesses troubleshooting skills torecognize monitoring problems, identifies probable causes, andseeks solutions to correct the problem. Responsible for maintaininginventories, supplies, hardware and telemetry transmitters inworking condition and responsible for appropriately reportingmalfunctions promptly as applicable.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:
High School diploma or GED isrequired.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
None

MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:
None

ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of cardiacrhythms/basic EKG interpretation. Certification as a CertifiedCardiac Monitor Telemetry Technician (CCMTT) through the AmericanEducation Certification Association or Certified Rhythm AnalysisTechnician (CRAT) through Cardiovascular CredentialingInternational is preferred.
Successful completion of PHCtelemetry monitoring competency assessment within 30 days of hireis required.
One (1) year of experience as a monitortechnician is preferred.
