RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologistsutilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within amagnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions ofthe body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MRtechnologists perform diagnostic Magnetic resonance examinations inaccordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidanceof the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patientcare to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, andgeriatrics.
Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
  • Graduateof an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program (ARRT) orcertified by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance ImagingTechnologists(ARMRIT).

MINIMUMEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Aminimum of one (1) year experience as a Radiology Technologistrequired.

MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:
  • Registered by theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) orCertified by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance ImagingTechnologists(ARMRIT).

ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advancedcertification by the ARRT in MRI (MR)preferred
  • Six (6) months MRI technologistexperience preferred
