Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective science and social studies lessons that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines for 5th grade.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities.
  • Foster a supportive and respectful classroom culture that values diversity and promotes a love for learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Valid teaching certification for 5th grade science and social studies in the state of Georgia.
  • Proven experience in teaching science and social studies at the elementary level.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
