Site Reliability Engineer

Key Role:

Perform analysis on new and existing products and establish reliability programs to address reliability risks and meet quality requirements. Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system and network administration
  • Experience using Bash and Python
  • Experience with Git repositories and GitLab
  • Experience with Docker, Docker compose, and Docker registries
  • Experience with networking, including configuration of switch or router port security and VLANs
  • Ability to manage GitLab, Confluence, Jira, and Artifactory
  • Ability to understand enterprise level systems
  • Ability to shift from one project to another in a dynamic work environment
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Associate’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Linux system and network administration
  • Experience with software system design, and SQL and database design
  • Experience with Nginx and proxies, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Ansible
  • Experience managing Virtual Machines, VM Ware, and Virtual Box
  • Experience with RMF compliance processes and implementation
  • Ability to approach classical problems with new ideas and innovation, and be motivated to expand understanding and skills
  • Possession of strong problem-solving skills
  • Possession of strong planning and organizational skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
