Key Responsibilities:
- General maintenance and operation of a mobile belt press focusing on both quality and quantity of production.
- Set up and tear down equipment at customers’ treatment facilities.
- Maintain clean equipment and work area including shoveling and hosing.
- Abide by regulatory compliance and safety guidelines.
- Operate a tractor-trailer truck on site (non-highway) to stage trailers for loading.
- Operate additional pumps and ancillary equipment on site.
- Make down polymer solution for dewatering process.
- Maintain daily production log.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid state issued driver’s license.
- Willing and able to obtain a Class D Wastewater Operator’s license.
- Work flexible hours to include overtime and weekends as projects demand.
- Ability to travel as work demands.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic mathematical skills and tool knowledge.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform duties under limited supervision.
- Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform job.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports to accurately complete daily assignments.
- Ability to judge the distance between equipment and an object.
- Ability to work in accordance with Company safety policies & procedures, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
Physical/Mental Demands:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach and lift in an outdoor environment 90% of the time.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, climb and balance.
- Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to manually lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Ability to manually push/move up to 50 pounds with assistance from another employee.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoors in varying adverse weather; low/high temperatures, wet and/or high humidity or sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to outdoor elements, unpleasant odors, small space such as vehicle/equipment cabs, exposure to fumes, dust, or uneven ground.
