Senior Cost Accountant Are you an experienced accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of cost accounting and delivering meaningful financial insights? We're seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to oversee cost accounting activities and provide critical support to leadership and operations. This is a hands-on role - ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives on digging into numbers, and can clearly communicate financial insights across all levels of the organization. Collaborative Culture - Work closely with cross-functional teams in a supportive environment. What You'll Do as the Senior Cost Accountant: Manage and update standard and/or average inventory costs. Reconcile cost-related accounts, including Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI). Handle month-end close activities for inventory and COGS accounts. Provide cost and margin analysis to support operations and decision-making. Partner with leadership and operations on ad hoc financial projects. What You'll Bring as the Senior Cost Accountant: 5+ years of cost accounting experience (manufacturing, distribution, or related industries preferred). Strong understanding of inventory costing methods and reconciliations. Proven month-end close and account reconciliation experience. Ability to work independently while building strong relationships across teams. ERP system experience (SAGE a plus, but not required).
