JOBPURPOSE:
Computed Tomography (CT)Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to producecross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients.CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographicexaminations in accordance with all prescribed standards under thedirect guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologistsprovide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal,pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Demonstrates ability to performadvance CT imaging (Cardiac and Vascular) and iscompetent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identifiedpatientneeds.
Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMAapproved Radiologic Technologyprogram.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
Must have a minimum of two (2)years experience, with one (2-3) years inCT.
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:
Registered by the American Registry ofRadiologic Technology (R) (CT).
Advanced certification byARRT in Computed Tomography(CT).
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified.
