Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner

The Division of Endocrinology at Albany Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with strong interest in diabetes care to join our outpatient team. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:Evaluate and manage patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and adrenal/pituitary conditionsOrder, interpret, and follow up on labs and imagingDevelop and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with supervising endocrinologistsSupport patients with thyroid disease, osteoporosis and other common endocrine conditionsProvide patient education on disease management, lifestyle, and medication useWork closely with our physicians, nurses, and care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated careQualifications:Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programCurrent certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).Current NYS licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (or eligibility)Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain certification within a specified timeframe if not already certified.Prior experience in endocrinology, primary care or diabetes management preferred; motivated new graduates encouraged to applyStrong communication, organizational, and clinical skillsCommitment to patient-centered, outpatient-focused careWe offer a highly competitive benefits package, including:Competitive base salary range $116,035-$141,511 depending on academic rank with additional incentive bonus opportunityComprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision)Generous paid time off and holiday scheduleAlbany Med retirement plan plus a 403(b)Annual CME allowance and dedicated CME timeOccurrence-based malpractice coverageEmployee wellness programs and mental health supportAlbany Medical Center is the centerpiece of medicine, research, and medical education in New York’s Capital Region and is the area's largest private employer with more than 10,000 employees.Albany Medical Center offers excellent career opportunities in a wide range of roles in both patient care and administration.
