In May 2019, PiedmontNewton completed a $10 million expansion and renovation of theEmergency Department. The project doubled the departments capacityfrom 16 beds to 32 beds, created two additional team centers, and aroom for higher acuity trauma cases. We provide care to patientspresenting with a wide range of diagnoses, from life-threateningconditions to minor injuries or illnesses. As the only hospitallocated within Newton County, the Piedmont Newton EmergencyDepartment serves 52,500 patients each year and is committed todelivering high-quality, patient-centeredcare
