Jerry’s Enterprises’ Payroll Manager is responsible for the strategy, implementation, and administration of payroll, HR technology, benefits, and compensation programs.
Reporting to our Controller-Finance, this position works in our corporate office located in Edina, Minnesota. Eventually, a hybrid option would become available (up to two days per week).
This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, short-term disability and 401K with company match. Additional benefits include paid time off and store discounts. Salary range is $90,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
Successful individuals in this position should be willing to:
Lead a team responsible for the day-to-day activities of benefits and payroll administration ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance testing and required filings. Provide effective communication of pay, benefits, and system functionality to promote employee understanding. This role requires close collaboration with Finance, Human Resources, and Operations. Collaborate with HRIS Analyst to lead the ongoing implementation, optimization, maintenance, and administration for people systems including Workday HCM and UKG Pro Management scheduling and timekeeping systems. Manage compliance, administration and operation of non-union employee benefit plans; lead a team accountable for union benefit plan eligibility and enrollment. Oversee compensation plans and bonus structure. Administer annual compensation review processes, including merit and bonuses. Manage union compensation adjustments, wage progressions and non-union merit increases and in compliance with union contracts and applicable state and federal regulations.Qualifications:
5-8 years demonstrated systems experience, preferably with Workday and UKG scheduling and timekeeping solutions along with advanced Excel capability. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, finance, or technology-related field. Familiarity and willingness to learn HRIS design, planning and implementation. Strong knowledge in the areas of payroll, HR, benefits, compliance, compensation, and HR technology. Proven experience in design and management of all reward disciplines including benefits programs and compensation, including base, bonus, and variable compensation. Preferred familiarity with Workday, UKG scheduling and timekeeping solutions and MS Office suite. Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship building skills with the ability to understand underlying needs and translate them to effective solutions. Ability to operate on a strategic level and support day-to-day execution. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Be a self-guided, quick learner.
