Job Title: Director of Compliance

Department: Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Summary of Position:  Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Compliance is a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective compliance program for Genesis Career Group. This role ensures adherence to all applicable federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies. The Director will provide guidance and oversight to all departments to foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program:

  • Maintain working knowledge of all current and proposed regulatory changes impacting the institution (e.g., Title IV, FERPA, Clery Act, state authorization, etc.)
  • Develop and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of compliance training programs for faculty and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including training, audits, and incident reports.

Provide guidance and support to departments:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related questions and concerns.
  • Collaborate with departments to develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified compliance deficiencies.
  • Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of complex regulations.
  • Review and approve institutional policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Manage regulatory reporting and audits:

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of all required regulatory reports.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external audits and regulatory investigations.
  • Manage the institution's response to any identified compliance issues or findings.

Promote a culture of compliance:

  • Develop and implement a communication plan to promote awareness of compliance requirements.
  • Foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential compliance concerns.
  • Collaborate with leadership to integrate compliance considerations into institutional decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations governing for-profit higher education institutions.
  • Experience with Title IV financial aid programs, FERPA, Clery Act, and state authorization regulations.
  • Experience with accreditation standards and processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.   

Salary and Benefits:

  • The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 per year. Please note that salary will be commensurate with experience and acquired credentials.

Office Location and Travel:

  • The Director of Compliance will be headquartered at Genesis Career Group’s main offices in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Occasional travel to its campuses in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and/or Texas may be expected.
