As a system administrator on our project, you’ll apply your technical expertise and industry knowledge to programs and projects. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning.

As a system administrator leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network, so your clients achieve their goals. You Have:

  • Experience with configuring cloud administrative environments and tools

  • Experience with defining secure-based cloud architecture while adhering to development methodologies, engineering, and DoD cloud standards

  • Experience with providing detailed guidance to engineering team members creating administrative processes and procedures

  • Experience with performing operational and day-to-day administrative support functions per NIST SP 800-37, including troubleshooting of issues and support of change and problem management processes

  • Experience with Splunk, HBSS, and ACAS

  • Experience with custom cloud Linux deployment and configurations

  • Ability to support cybersecurity team in conducting a security analysis and assessment of current processes and platforms, and generate ad-hoc reports and guidance for team members or management

  • Ability to design solutions and recommending the most suitable design packages to improve current administrative security levels and performance

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with supporting engineering applications in a cloud environment

  • Knowledge to track, mitigate, and remediate software and hardware vulnerabilities with the cybersecurity team

  • Ability to manage resources, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Desktop, Lighthouse, Active Directory, and other network resources in a Cloud environment with Azure preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate the leadership behaviors to effectively communicate, coordinate, collaborate, and work in a visible and proactive manner across boundaries to deliver positive results

  • Ability to be a highly engaging, team-oriented, customer-focused, and self-starting individual, with a strong work ethic

  • Ability to respond rapidly to a dynamic programmatic environment

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science

  • DoD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-M IAT level II Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
