Soliant Health is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Portland, Oregon. This is a full-time position within a school district, where you will work directly with students to enhance their ability to participate in daily activities and promote their overall well-being. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping students develop the skills they need to succeed academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' motor, sensory, and cognitive abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement appropriate strategies.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Incorporate evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to enhance student engagement and progress.
  • Adapt and modify classroom activities, equipment, and environments to support students' participation and independence.
  • Educate and train teachers, parents, and caregivers on how to facilitate students' occupational therapy goals within the classroom and home settings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and related reports.
  • Stay current with advancements and best practices in occupational therapy through professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Oregon (or eligible for licensure).
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor skills development, and adaptive equipment.
  • Ability to assess, interpret, and apply evaluation results to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
