School Psychologist

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in the area in the lovely state of Northridge , Ohio area . As a School Psychologist, you will play an importantrole in supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of our students. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and community providers to create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters the well-being of all students.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for educational planning and intervention.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop appropriate interventions.
  • Conduct workshops and trainings for staff and parents on topics related to mental health, behavior management, and academic success.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in school psychology and integrate them into practice.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Experience working as a School Psychologist in a K-12 educational setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological and educational assessments and their interpretation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
