Special Education Teacher Positions - Conover, North Carolina Area

Positions: Special Education Teachers (4 Positions Available)

Location: Conover, North Carolina Area

Job Type: Full-Time, Duration of the School Year

Pay: $35-$38 per hour

Position 1: High School Self-Contained

  • Caseload: 11 students
  • Classroom Support: Multiple Paraprofessionals
  • Certification Requirement: Adaptive Curriculum EC Cert active in North Carolina

Position 2: Elementary Inclusion

  • Caseload: 40 students (split with another Special Education Teacher)
  • Certification Requirement: General Curriculum EC Cert active in North Carolina

Positions 3 & 4: Elementary Special Education Inclusion

  • Caseload: 37 students (work collaboratively with another Special Education Teacher)
  • Certification Requirement: General Curriculum EC Cert active in North Carolina

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the unique needs of students in various settings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
  • North Carolina state certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students in the specified grade levels and settings.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
