Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Delhi, California

Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Delhi, California. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality speech and language services to students, helping them overcome communication challenges and succeed academically. The Speech-Language Pathologist will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans to address the specific needs of each student.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' educational goals.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and parents to support students' communication development.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments and therapy sessions.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • California Credential authorizing service as a Speech-Language Pathologist in public schools.
  • Experience working with children in a K-12 school setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and diverse stakeholders.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist License.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • California Credential authorizing service in public schools, such as the Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards set by ASHA and the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
