Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Position in Minnetrista, MN

Start Date: April 8, 2023
End Date: May 10, 2023

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Minnetrista, MN. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children aged 0-3 years through speech and language services in family homes and childcare settings. Additionally, you will provide crucial support to students in ECFE classes and one high school student on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Early Intervention: Deliver speech and language services, along with caregiver coaching, to children aged 0-3 years in their homes and childcare settings.

  2. ECFE Classes: Provide speech and language services to students and offer consultative support to classroom staff in Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes.

  3. High School Support: Administer speech services to a high school student once a week.

  4. Evaluation and Reporting: Engage in speech-only and team-based Part C and Part B evaluations, including standardized test administration, caregiver interviews, and communication observations. Interpret evaluation results and collaborate with the teaching team to create Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), evaluation reports, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  5. Documentation Compliance: Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in adherence to due process procedures and timelines. This includes evaluations, medical assistance bills/documentation, 6-month reviews, team meetings, and other documentation procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in early intervention and school-based settings is preferred
