Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details Location: Dothan, AL (zip 36301) – Alabama healthcare jobs Facility: 400-bed Level II Trauma Center Unit: 4 East | 42-bed Med/Surg Telemetry Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date: December 15, 2025 Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Patient Ratio: 1:4/1:5 Orientation: 28 hours Employment Type: Travel RN contract Estimated Weekly Salary: $1470 - $1570 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Alabama RN license or eligibility to obtain (submit with license pending) Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (large hospital experience preferred) ACLS and BLS certifications required Experience with telemetry, IV/port management, and chemotherapy administration preferred COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions for COVID-19 only) Travel nursing experience preferred; strong candidates with significant clinical experience considered Must comply with 40-mile radius rule Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, administer medications, and manage IVs and ports Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Social Services Maintain accurate patient documentation and participate in rapid response protocols Educate and support patients and families with compassion Float to similar medical-surgical units as needed and participate in weekend coverage Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
