Middle School Special Education Teacher - 2024/2025 School Year

Discipline/Positions Available:

  • Middle School Separate Setting Teacher (3 positions)

Contract Dates: July 31, 2024, through May 23, 2025

Hours/Shift: Full Time, 7.5 hours per day

Grade Levels: 6-8

Caseload Size: 12-15 students per teacher

Experience Level: New Graduates and Out-of-State Candidates Welcome if Certified in Special Education: General Curriculum or Adaptive Curriculum

Primary Duties:

  • Provide specialized instruction in reading and math to students with disabilities
  • Students will attend science and social studies with their non-disabled peers
  • Conduct exploratory classes as per curriculum guidelines

Software/Systems Used: ECATS, Canvas, Chromebooks, etc.

Remote Work Consideration: Not Applicable (On-site Position)

About the Position: We are actively interviewing for Middle School Special Education Teachers to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year. These positions are contracted through our partnership with Soliant.

Responsibilities: As a Middle School Special Education Teacher, you will work closely with students in a separate setting, providing specialized instruction in reading and math. Additionally, students will participate in science and social studies alongside their non-disabled peers. Exploratory classes are also part of the curriculum. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of 12-15 students and ensuring their academic progress and social-emotional development.

Requirements:

  • Certification in Special Education: General Curriculum or Adaptive Curriculum
  • Experience with ECATS, Canvas, Chromebooks, and other educational software/systems is preferred
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
