Overview: The Pleasant Valley School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team for the early part of the 2024/2025 school year, from August 2024 to October 2024. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work onsite with students in a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' functional abilities and needs related to activities of daily living and educational tasks.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans and goals based on assessment findings and student needs.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor skills, and self-care skills.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational and developmental goals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and required documentation.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Pennsylvania state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, practices, and techniques.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
