PositionDescription
The Inventory ControlSpecialist is directly accountable for the accurate control ofRefresco’s inventory. Techniques such as cycle counting andadjusting the inventory on a weekly basis, the elimination ofproduction shortages, and the verification of inventory at anyoff-site locations will be aggressively pursued. This role alsoparticipates in all physical inventories, as well assists with thegoods receipt function for the plant.
Responsibilities
- Performcycle counts before and after production runs, as well as cyclecounts for items on a predetermined SAP schedule.
- Ensure accurate postings of daily production in SAP andensure process orders are closed in a timely and accurate manner.Reconcile finished goods production with inventory inSAP.
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork andsystem input is completed for cycle counts, inventory adjustments,and monthly standard loss tracking.
- Maintainand organize the filing of all necessary documents pertaining toinventory, which includes but is not limited to BOLs, Manual BOLs,Cycle Count Adjustments, destruction order paperwork, SupplierClaim paperwork, Vendor Return paperwork, Shipping paperwork,etc.
- Trend and monitor inventory accuracy andstandard loss factor variances.
- Complete allreporting for co-pack customers (pay at productionprocess)
- Track and manage aging inventoryusing periodic data collection and reporting processes.
- Weekly review of corporate Hold Log
- Compile, process and track destruction requests includingfinal disposal transportation.
- Work with theQuality and Material Management departments to coordinate the finaldisposition of on-hold inventory; Ensure that all hold inventory isdisposed of or sent back to suppliers in a timelymanner.
- Coordinate Year End Physical Inventoryprocess, properly documenting and validating accuracy of variancereconciliation.
- Adhere to the month end cutoffpolicy which includes validating that all receipts have beenentered in SAP, inventory adjustments are finalized, system errorCOGI’s have been cleared, MB5T transfer transactions are clearand/or in current process, destruction orders and vendor holds arein good standing.
- Perform any additionalduties as assigned by Plant Controller
Requirements
- An Associate’sdegree in Administration, Computer Science or Accountingpreferred
- Prior experience in InventoryControl (on-the-job training and experience may be substituted forthis requirement)
- Prior experience using anERP system preferably SAP
- Proficient inMicrosoft Office Suite.
