We are seeking qualified Special Education Teachers to join our team in the friendly Wildwood, IL area These full-time, in-person positions for the 2024-2025 school year offer a unique chance to make a significant difference by providing differentiated instruction and fostering a positive learning environment for students of various ages within resource classrooms.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with general education teachers to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that cater to the specific learning needs of students within your assigned resource classrooms.
  • Utilize a variety of evidence-based instructional strategies and differentiated learning techniques to promote academic achievement and social-emotional development for students of various ages.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, positive behavior, and a sense of belonging.
  • Provide ongoing support and differentiated instruction to students with diverse learning needs to help them reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate effectively with parents, guardians, paraprofessionals, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive team approach to student success.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data on interventions, and make adjustments as needed to personalize instruction and ensure continued improvement.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education and inclusive teaching methods.

Qualifications:

  • Illinois State Special Education Teacher Certification.
  • Master's degree in Special Education or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience working with students with diverse learning needs in a resource classroom setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development, special education methodologies, differentiated instruction practices, and adapting curriculum for various age groups.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students of various ages, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
  • A passion for promoting inclusive education and supporting the success of all students, regardless of age or learning needs.
