Job Title: Occupational Therapist short term contract

Location: Newark, MD

Position Type: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Number of Schools: 3

Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Newark, MD, to provide services to students across three schools. This is a temporary position starting on September 6th and ending on December 19th, with the possibility of extension for the remainder of the school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' occupational therapy goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' participation in educational activities.
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Maryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
