ESL Teacher

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated High School ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher to join our team in Lockport, New York. This is a full-time, contracted position for the academic year, focused on providing students with the language skills they need to succeed in their academic and social lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a dynamic ESL curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students.
• Provide effective instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking English.
• Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that fosters language acquisition and cultural understanding.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to help them improve their language skills.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to support student learning across the curriculum.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Teaching certification (or eligibility) in the state of New York.
• Experience in teaching ESL or working with multilingual learners preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with high school students.
• A commitment to promoting an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment.
