Special Education Teacher

Location: Near Norridge, IL

Hourly Rate: Up to $35/hour (based on experience)

Required Degrees and Certifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team near Norridge, IL. This position offers the opportunity to create a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs in achieving their fullest potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to provide a well-rounded educational experience.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as necessary.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that promotes academic and personal growth.

Requirements:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Previous experience in special education is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • A commitment to making a positive difference in students' lives.

Pay & Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: Up to $35/hour (based on experience).
