Under direction of Environmental Department Manager, perform activities necessary to maintain above ground and below ground fuel tanks & facilities in compliance with military contractual obligations and standards. Ensures tank inspections are performed as per schedules.Essential Duties & Job Functions:

·Perform routine fuel tank maintenance inspections on a Bi-Weekly (50+ tanks), Monthly (200+ tanks), & Annual basis at various military bases to include but not limited to: NBK Bangor, NBK Bremerton, Naval Hospital Bremerton, NBK Keyport, Indian Island Magazine, & Ediz Hook Coast Guard Station – Port Angeles, Washington.

·Diagnose, record, and report fuel tank and/or system anomalies found, notify BOSC Supervisor and third-party vendor for scheduling and repair.

·Assist vendors with obtaining proper security clearance, escorts, and access into secure & non-secure areas for Regulated Underground Storage Tank (RUST) and Triennial Spill Bucket Inspections.

·Notify & coordinate with various military commands when UST/AST maintenance/repair work is required in their work area.

·Performs monthly SPCC inspections.

·Escort Washington State Department of Ecology employees with NAVFAC Management personnel on Annual and Semi-Annual inspections of RUST tanks. Provide answers to questions asked.

·Maintain strict timeline windows to complete Preventative Maintenance and Repair inspections on specialized underground tanks per WAC, RCW, & CFR codes.

·Operating small power tools to perform minor maintenance, including lifting UST manhole covers for sump access.

·Responsible for individual fuel tank logs on site, and accurate, organized recordkeeping in the office.

·Maintain Underground Storage Tank A & B Operator License.

·Follow company and departmental safety policies & procedures and react to safety incidents should the need arise.

·Other duties as assigned.

May perform work in other classifications when incidental work is necessary to the accomplishment of the work assignment.Significant work in another job classification may be required if accompanied by any wage adjustments applicable.

•Choosing and the proper use of tools and equipment necessary for removal and packaging the specific hazardous materials.

•Properly cleaning such tools after use and verifying that they are contaminant free.

•Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.

•Timely and cost effective performance of duties.

•Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.

•Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.

•Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.

•Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.

•Must obtain and maintain required explosives certifications when assigned to ordnance operations.

•Having the ability to work well under pressure.

•Must possess good communication skills for a service team environment.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):Mandatory

•Underground Storage Tank A & B Operator License.

•Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work such as standing, stooping or kneeling and/or wearing complete containment suits for extended periods of time.

•Must meet and maintain company physical requirements including respirator qualification and annual medical exam.

•Valid state issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record

•Ability to successfully pass any security clearance requirements, background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.

•U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred

40 Hour Hazwoper training certificate.
