Description:

Position Purpose:  

This position is one half X-Ray Technician and one half Mammograph Tech in an out patient clinic. The Radiology Tech II will operate radiographic equipment as required, to obtain diagnostic exams according to radiologist specifications.   

What You Will Do: 

  • Responsible for the care and treatment of all age ranges of patients, to include pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric 

  • Perform a variety of tasks such as retrieving previous films, filing, answering phones, relaying messages, completing encounter forms and scheduling. 

  • Strong Educator:  

  • Perform quality checks on equipment in accordance with department procedure, evaluate equipment problems and take appropriate action to expedite necessary service or repair. 

  • Assist the radiologist in a wide range of sterile procedures 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Education: Associates degree in Science or equivalent post-secondary education required.  Must be a graduate of an accredited diagnostic radiography program 

  • Licensure: A.R.R.T. registered and current State license in radiography and mammography required.   

  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of clinical internship and two (2) years of post-educational experience as a Radiologic Technologist. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work well with others in a very busy, close environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.  Must cooperate well with others by demonstrating flexibility and working in a collaborative manner to meet departmental needs. Considerable tact required in most duties to achieve results. 

  • Certification: CPR certification
